 COMMUNITY MINISTRIES 

 As new congregation groups formed in various areas of the Gauteng (Johannesburg) region there became an increasing need for a constant presence in those places.  From this growing need staffed W.B.S.  Funda Fundiswe (R&T Ministries) offices were opened.  From these offices basic Bible studies are conducted on an almost daily basis.  They have also become centers for AIDS (HIV) counseling and youth gatherings; centers for follow up training and establishing a variety of felt need ministries; such as sewing, home making, cooking and nutritional counseling, gardening, leather craft, marriage enrichment and parenting seminars.  
Currently there are staffed offices at Sebokeng, Soweto, Tembisa/Kempton Park (to be opened soon).  Due to increased unemployment and poverty in the disadvantaged areas these felt needs ministries are critical to the survival of many of the AIDS orphans and community members.  The global financial issues are resulting in decreased contributions that are forcing some of these Ministry offices to close.
